Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition Review

Now, I’m not, what you call, a die-hard fan of the Aliens franchise. While I enjoyed the second movie and I played and enjoyed many of the games like the 2010 Aliens VS Predator and Aliens: Colonial Marines, I’m more or less what you call a casual enjoyer of the series. But, I’m also a fan of the FPS genre so when I first heard of this game, I was curious about it. That is, until I saw it was VR only. Thankfully, the game now has a console release with Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition, meaning us non-VR players can finally check this title out. Was it worth the wait? In a way, yes it was! At the same time, it does suffer from some small issues that, while not game-breaking, were noticeable enough to make me, well, take notice.

Let’s be real here: If you’re a PC gamer, then you have a huge selection of furry games to choose from of all types of genres. But, if you’re a console gamer, like me? Well, outside of the occasional port from PC and something from Nintendo, we mostly get shovelware, basic platformers, and Sokoban clones. So, trying to find a decent furry console game teeters on the side of hard but not impossible. That isn’t to say they don’t exist as there are some good ones out there (I mean, look at the amazing games we reviewed on the site). In fact, just recently, a bunch of demos popped up onto the Xbox store via the ID@Xbox Indie Selects Event, including a few furry ones coming to the system, and I want to take some time and highlight some that I came across.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Preview - The Next Great Sonic Racing Game?

Over the weekend of August 29th to September 1st, the open network beta for the upcoming Sonic Racing: Crossworlds took place, giving us players the chance to check the game out and try out a few maps and modes, both online and offline. I have to say, the game is shaping up to be a good racing game and another fun Sonic Racing entry, but I do have some small qualms about a few things, some of which I do hope gets fixed prior to release.
