Back in March 2011, Square-Enix published Deus Ex: Human Revolution, developed by Eidos Montreal. Though very well received, fans levied a number of complaints towards the game. Taking the feedback to heart, Eidos developed The Missing Link DLC, which was also extremely enjoyed by fans.
Now that the Augmented Edition of the game has been announced for most major systems, fans of the game were worried that Square Enix would require players to repurchase the game to get the updated content. Given that the new version also made a number of improvements to the vanilla game, up to and including remixes to the well-loathed boss battles, it's easy to see why.
However, we need not worry any longer. Square Enix has announced that the Augmented Edition of Human Revolution be discounted for those who own the base game. Further price reductions apply to those who purchased the original version and The Missing Link DLC. On Steam, these discounts combined make the Augmented Edition cost only $5, which is a very good price. At this time, it is unknown if the discounts will extend to console versions, although it is very likely.
