Mass Effect 3 "Leviathan" DLC release date confirmed.

masseffect3leviathan

Mass Effect 3's first single player DLC is confirmed for August 28th. Leviathan puts you in pursuit of a rogue Reaper who has defected from the rest of the horde. The DLC is of course set mid-game and nets you bonus war assets (for what good they even do now.) Lleviathan also features underwater combat and a sweet red atlas mech for you to pilot.

Mass Effect is always known for great Single Player DLC so this may be one to be prepared for. Mass Effect 2's "Liar of the Shadow Broker" is hailed as one of the best DLC packages ever released so lets see if they can at least match their own par.

You can watch the trailer here (some minor spoliers):

Are you guys excited? Underwhelmed? Just plain over Mass Effect 3? Let me know in the coments below.

A Fourth Mass Effect 3 DLC leak.

Mass-Effect-3-Extended-Cut-Release-Date

Warning! SPOILERS AHEAD!

((You have been warned! Beyond this point contains plot details on upcoming DLC for Mass Effect 3. These are not final and are subject to change or be proven completely wrong.))

On Tuesday June 26th, fans of Mass Effect 3 recieved the updated and expanded ending to the game called Mass Effect 3: Director's Cut. But that was not all we recieved from the two gigabites of content. Hidden within the files were sound bites, and game script hinting that there is incoming story DLC titled: "Leviathan". Hiding within the files are new dialogue trees, new codex entries and even the ENTIRE PLOT!

The story of the DLC will focus around a rogue reaper named Leviathan as he seeks his own agenda and has Shepard fighting along side former nemesis Bhalak (From Mass Effect's Bring down the Sky DLC) as they attempt to uncover what Leviathan is after. According to script, Leviathan has indoctrinated everyone in the Disc system after being accidentaly activated. Expect the end result of this mission to reward more war assets and lots of new storyline. It should also be set mid game, though you can still play the mission after completing the main story as a result of Mass Effect 3's "time warp" feature.

It's important to note this that isn't final and is still subject to change. It is very possible that this is a storyline that was removed and will not be pursed; which would be a shame since I'm sure many of us are a bit curious about a rogue reaper. It also seems Bioware/EA is pushing to have many more stories to add to Mass Effect 3, just like the star gazer said!

Damn you stargazer!

Mass Effect 3 Ending Hits June 26th

masseffect3extendedcut

Yes, you read that right. The updated and revised ending for Bioware's smash hit title Mass Effect 3 is launching this Tuesday (June 26th). So all you wanting your closure will be sure to get it. And yes, this will be absolutly F-R-E-E, free.

Launching with the DLC, titled Mass Effect 3: Director's Cut, will be almost two gigabites of new cinematics that should tie up any loose ends that were blatantly obvious in the game's original ending. Casey Hudson, lead writer for Mass Effect, says that the ending you recieve and epilogue shown will reflect all your decisions through the final chapter of the trilogy. Dispite the two gigabite size, you will need several playthroughs to see all the new content being added.

You can view the entire ten minute interview here:

Still no word on any real DLC for Mass Effect but as always we will keep our ears perked and noses wet for any sign of additional content...*Cough* Taking back Omega *Cough Cough*

Potential Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer DLC leak.

me3data

According to IGN a potential upcoming Mass Effect 3 multiplayer DLC pack was leaked onto Redit earlier this week.

Given the provided screenshot there will be several new race/class combinations such as Geth Infiltrators and Batarian Soldiers. It's unconfirmed if new maps will be added or if this is genuine. Bioware has not yet provided any comment. However, if this is true it marks the third time DLC has leaked for ME3 since the Beta found its way onto live earlier this year.

Resident Evil 6 Announced, Detailed, Dated

ResidentEvil6logo It's back! Capcom announced today that Resident Evil 6, the next iteration in the very popular series is heading to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 20 of this year, with a PC release forthcoming afterwards. We know that Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield will play co-leads in the game, with each having their own campaign through the US and China, respectively.

Check out the new trailer below. Looks like we have ZOMBIES (*gasps*) and a lot of explosions, guts, and over-the-shoulder jumping and shooting action.

No furries, unfortunately. Though I doubt they'd be lovable in a game like this.
