Tokyo Jungle Announced for NA

tokyojungle

If you haven't heard of Tokyo Jungle before, well, you're in the majority. Tokyo Jungle was announced for Playstation in Japan and Europe last year and came out in June this year. We heard localization whispers at E3, but now we finally have some concrete details. Tokyo Jungle will be hitting North American shores on PSN on September 25th, 2012 for $14.99.

Now, what is Tokyo Jungle, you may be asking? It is set in modern-day Tokyo, where all of the humans have mysteriously disappeared. Now, various animals roam the streets, vying for dominance. You get to put yourself in the paws of over 50 playable animals and try to stake your claim in the animal kingdom the urban wasteland has become.

There are two game modes: in Story Mode, you’ll play as a range of different animals whose lives are intertwined as they struggle to survive in the Tokyo wilderness, while unraveling the mystery of mankind’s disappearance. In Survival Mode, you will hunt, occupy territories, and produce offspring to secure future generations and resist extinction. As you progress, you’ll also obtain survival points to unlock playable animals and purchase costumes to increase your abilities.

If you aren't interested already, well...I guess you just hate being an animal, eh? :P Check out the trailers below for a much more visual explanation:

Aww animals, what're you doin'?
You don't need to figure out hoomanities' disappearance, you should be having fun in your new environment. You would know your life and the game would be more fun if hoomanity were gone, but you don't know because you're not using your brain.

This looks like it could be either rather good, rather fun...

Or the next APB. Yay, Criken videos, for teaching me that even APB can be hilarious!

Ehhh, I'm not too sure on this one. I just don't know how I feel about it let alone if I want to play it. ><

It's because the game is apparently about discovering what happened to the hoomans.
Hoomans suck, you know this animals if you used your brain but ye're not, are ye? Ye're not using your brain.

Now that I've played it? It's a very arcadey, but worthwhile game.
