Planetside 2 one of the most highly anticipated FPS-MMO's is starting it's beta testing cycle soon and I'll be bringing you coverage of what promises to be an epic game. So let's break it down for you on what types of things to expect in this new title.
First off it's been very very well recieved by critics, industry concerns, and press with advanced access. You have global PvP involving massive amounts of players across multiple continents in a persistent world. Players will be able to work together to engage in massive combat for control of huge territories covered with bases, outposts and other things that represent resources for your chosen faction. 3 fully developed factions each with their own unique look and feel.
The game is free 2 play and will NOT be pay to win.
The graphics and gameplay are very impressive but the publisher intends to provide lots of options so players with less beastly computers can play and have fun as well.
Players will be able to unlock things and upgrade their character through gameplay and earning in game "currency" for accomplishing objectives.
There will be robust customization and many options as far as classes, weapons, and vehicles.
A huge variety of environments to play on all with their own set of advantages and disadvantages. Also with a persistent world if your faction is getting trounced in one zone you can move a whole force of players to another zone and mount an assault on the enemy's unprotected flank and capture some territory while their main force is occupied elsewhere. This creates great opportunities for coordinated groups of players to run assault missions to capture or defend strategic areas.
