Furry Features
Furcadia is a furry graphical multiplayer online community developed by Felorin (Dr. Cat) and Talzhemir ("'Manda"), with contributions from many others. Furcadia is possibly the largest online furry community, with over 70,000 registered characters and 2,000 - 4,500 online users active at any given time. The game is based on user-created content, socializing and free-form roleplaying.
Characters
The character, or avatar on Furcadia is called a "furre", pronounced "fur", or occasionally "furry". The in-game avatar can be set to one of several species of anthropomorphic animal that Furcadia offers. A furre can be one of three genders: male, female, and unspecified. These genders modify the default portrait, as well as specitags, icons seen to the left of players' names in chat.
Customization
Players can customize their avatars by choosing colors from a palette. These colors are shown on both the walkabout and portrait. The walkabout has a basic walking animation with the ability to stand, sit, or lay. There are default portraits for each avatar, however, one may upload a 95x95 custom portrait for a small fee.
Each character can also have a brief description, which can include character details, or external links to websites. Some players choose to link to third-party websites to extend their descriptions beyond the character-limit the standard Furcadia description allows.

Life-long addiction
I have been playing Furcadia for about 12 years, and I can honestly see myself playing it until it no longer exists! It is advertised as a "furry friendly" RPG and socializing game. Like the review before mine states, I wouldn't suggest it for those of you who need pretty graphics and such. It's a very simple game. It won't slow down your computer or lag endlessly (like SL tends so to), because it's just a retro-style, 2-d game. It isn't your run-of-the-mill RPG, either... It's more of a traditional, D&D type RPG, where you actually have to use your imagination to plan out your attacks and correspond with your partner(s). You ~really~ play on your fursona on this game, so you can make your player however you want. You can have anything from anthros to ferals. Including, but not limited to, dragons, unicorns, phoenixes, and bugs!
If you aren't looking for Role Playing, you really don't have to. There are socializing areas as well, where you can just chat or make friends. Also, if you are a creative creature, like myself, there are art contests and writing contests. If you want to make something, but want something new, you can even make your very own maps for other furries to explore and play in! Be creative, have fun, and let your imagination soar!

Use your imagination
If you have no imagination then of course this will not be a game for you. If you must rely on graphics and fancy animations then, yes, turn tail now and find a game that better amuses your short attention span.
Furcadia forces you to rely on your imagination as well as others. Giving you full control over situations and character customization if you truly see it for what it is.
If you have any experience in role playing on forums or even on a chat client then you will understand what this is, is something of the sort. Only it's worlds within worlds (threads within topics) and it's real time meaning there is no wait for you partner to respond to you for days or hours at a time the most you will wait is a few short minutes for a response to your post.
I started the game with no clue what I was doing but if you LOOK OVER THE SITE and USE the help provided to you when you make your first character it will come easy to you. No where else can I find RP as engaging as I can on Furc. IMVU, SL, Gaia....only some times is the RP taken seriously.
It's like writing your own story yet a collab with another person or persons who help mold the chapters to your book and then journey of your character.
Long story short.
1.If you don't like writing
2.If you need fancy crap over quality RP
3.If you have no imagination
Don't play. Simple as that. Don't give a bad review because you didn't take the time to actually attempt the game OR you went into it realizing what it was but somehow was hoping for something more
I've been playing since 07'
Furcadia
I started furcadia yesterday and honestly, it's pretty boring if you don't already have friends on there. it's basically a social community and nothing more. :/ was very disappointed in it.
